Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager  - Reporting to the Head Of Business Development

Job Purpose:

Take an active role within the Business Development Team in the creation of new agency business.

Main Duties

 

Understanding the Agency

Understand and promote McCann credentials to prospects, clients and agency personnel.

To be involved in the development of the overall agency positioning.

To tailor the agency’s positioning to prospects depending on their requirements.

Actively promote and utilise proprietary tools and McCann corridor companies.

Understand and promote the agency’s client work to prospects.

Harness agency initiatives, research or planning findings to drive new business.

Develop new products and services with other senior managers to capitalise on business opportunities.

 

New Business Strategy

Actively seek out tactical opportunities to engage prospects as they present themselves

Manage the agency website content and social media channels

Actively promote McCann as a leading ATL and BTL Agency through a proactive ‘open the door’ approach

Assist in the development and delivery of new business strategy to pro-actively engage with prospects.

Develop (or input into) individual business unit strategy.

Actively employ all channels to reach prospects. (Seminars, Direct Mail, PR, Consultants)

Review strategy and tactics on a regular basis and adjust accordingly.

Monitor market place for changes that impact on strategy.

 

Prospect Management

Identify overall prospect pool for each discipline. Make recommendations for the top prospects list, based on agency experience and market knowledge.

Drive initiatives/strategies that tackle individual prospects and a wider sector list.

Actively monitor key prospects to seek opportunities for dialogue and interaction.

Manage the relationship and activity of the outbound prospecting companies.

Ensure effective administration systems are deployed to deliver the outbound activity.

 

Self Development

Proactively pursue self development opportunities within the Agency

Assume responsibility for regularly reviewing performance and personal development

Discuss career aspirations and agree personal development plan with the CEO and People Director

SENIOR ARTWORKER

This is a rare opportunity to join McCann Birmingham’s top quality Studio, working daily for clients such as Vauxhall cars, Stanley Tools, Triumph Motorcycles, Hardys Wines, Persimmon Homes, Sunseeker Yachts and many more. We’re looking for a new Senior Artworker to be part of a team who are creative, resourceful and enthusiastic, independent yet cooperative, and always think ahead.

If you can match this, and have 4+ years’ experience in a similar environment, combining digital, print and press production using Adobe software, then we want to hear from you.

ARTWORKER

Responsible to the studio team leader, this role encompasses a wide range of work in our artwork studio, providing excellent opportunities to learn new and develop existing artwork and design skills.

Experience required

  • 2-3 years minimum experience as an artworker/designer in a mac environment, preferably in a busy, fast-moving setting combining print and press production.
  • Thorough knowledge of production/print techniques is vital.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential, along with good typography skills and an eye for design.
  • Must be able to artwork from a scamp under direction from Creative/design department.
  • Experience of basic retouching techniques is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of web applications and Html technologies is desirable.

JUNIOR . Net / C# developer

The digital division at McCann Birmingham currently has a requirement for a .Net / C# developer with knowledge and experience of developing upon CMS platforms such as Sitecore or Umbraco. You will have previously worked within an agency and will join an expanding digital team that supports leading brands such as, Bloor Homes, Triumph, Genting Casino’s and Sunseeker Yachts to name a few.

The digital division in McCann are responsible for the strategic development, planning, user experience, design, development and ongoing support and aftercare for many of the agencies clients. Working in an integrated 360o fashion with other divisions (PR, Media, Advertising) the division creates a range of digital solutions including enterprise class websites, campaign sites, social apps and mobile / tablet solutions.
