We are looking for a confident, bright individual for a role working across one of our biggest clients within a large and highly successful full service communications agency.

Key skills:

Strong writing ability across a mix of styles, from press releases and features through to social media content creation

Organisational skills - prioritising and managing a range of activities

Ability to conduct successful media sell-ins at all levels, from regional media through to national press, lifestyle magazine and trade

The successful candidate will be charged with providing a strong foundation for their team and there will be a number of areas for which they will be expected to take responsibility.

In a day-to-day capacity they will be working under the guidance of a line manager who will oversee the quality of work and provide support and advice. They will have client contact and will be encouraged to have input into the content of the PR programmes.

Key responsibilities will be to run the reactive press offices for clients and develop good contacts with target media. Writing is a core skill that will be used on a day-to-day basis, drafting engaging press releases and features, and producing comprehensive reports ranging from contact reports to end of month activity and evaluation reports. Good organisation skills are also essential as work may involve organising photocalls and events, briefing photographers and coordinating press briefings. An understanding of social media and online PR campaigns is expected as standard.
