We are looking to recruit a digital media executive to support the SEO team for a variety of clients in industries including automotive, leisure, finance and charity. You will be based within the media department of a large full service advertising agency and report directly to the Senior SEO Managers. This role offers great potential to succeed and grow in a thriving, highly successful agency where ambition will be quickly rewarded.

You’ll have a passion for all areas of SEO (technical, on-page and off-page) and be comfortable copywriting for blogs and webpages as this will initially form a key part of the role. In addition to creating content, you will be competent with research, ideation, content auditing, content calendar management and analysis. You’ll have superb attention to detail, strong self-motivation and a drive to improve.

We’ll need you to support the SEO managers across all aspects of the day-to-day optimisation on client campaigns, preparing PowerPoint presentations, reporting and analysis and client consultation. We’ll also need you to support on the practical delivery of client work, including some invoicing management and liaising with the finance department.

You will be expected to keep up to date with new developments in SEO, whilst actively researching, testing and proposing new approaches to improve search engine rankings and conversion rates. This will include attending industry SEO conferences.

The ideal candidate will have solid technical SEO expertise, a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an agency environment.


Key Responsibilities and Skills

Good knowledge on all SEO fundamentals: Technical, on-page, off-page, outreach, content marketing, local, mobileBlog content creation to weekly deadlinesContent ideation, content auditing and gap analysis, management of content calendars, content analysis and reportingContent marketing experience and interest including link research, link building and blogger outreach

Good use of SEO and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Moz, AWR, Ahrefs, VWO, Search Console etc.

Knowledge of social media is advantageous but not necessary

Creating SEO reports using Google Analytics and Excel

Assisting with preparation of PowerPoint presentations Independently carrying out SEO research and trainingSupport on all aspects of day-to-day SEO retainers, quickly growing to independent client management for smaller accounts

Good use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Confident communication skills required for internal and external meetings, team relationships and day-to-day client contact

Key requirements

A proactive and positive “can do” attitude

Computer literate, i.e. good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel in particular

Strong administrative skills

Concern for and a superb attention to detail

Ability to work to multiple deadlines and under pressure

Ability to prioritise workloads

Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills

Minimum of 2 years’ agency experience

Educated to degree level or similar professional qualifications and expertise

Pro-activity and the ability to be able to work with the minimum supervision

Strong relationship building skills with team, other departments and clients

Self-motivated to learn new SEO skills and stay up to date with the industry

An analytical mind comfortable with data analysis
