McCann Central Welcomes Ollie Purdom as Chief Talent Officer

As part of our commitment to driving employee engagement, diversity and expertise in a range of disciplines across McCann Central, Ollie Purdom has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Talent Officer.

Ollie joins from Pitch Consultants, which he co-founded 12 years ago and grew to one of the most successful specialist recruiters for the creative industry in the Midlands and the North. His remit at McCann Central includes spearheading employee communications, further developing the brand to attract candidates and bringing greater diversity to the agency.

This is part of an ongoing plan to attract the UK’s best talent across McCann Central’s current Birmingham, Bristol, Milton Keynes and London offices and contribute to the already phenomenal growth that has seen the agency double in size over the last five years.

Ollie says: “I have always been impressed with the manner in which McCann constantly tries to push forward and innovate. That’s not just in the methods and creativity it encourages in its work for clients, but also its internal employee practices and programmes.

“In our industry we know the battle for talent is fierce, so we need to tell the fantastic story that McCann has to the outside world, highlighting its international acclaim from awards at Cannes and providing a candidate experience that sets us apart from the competition in order to attract the best people.”

John Sanders, Chief Operating Officer of McCann Central, says: “The appointment of Ollie sets us apart as an agency that wants to develop the way that our employees feel part of the McCann family. We have always strived to excel at creativity and we have been taking the same approach to our people.”
