Looking for a career kickstart in the creative industry?

Want to get into the creative industry? Then you’ve come to the right place. We’re helping to kickstart the careers of those looking to get into the creative services sector, by recruiting 32 new employees as part of a new paid internship programme.

The positions are being offered and funded using the Government’s Kickstart scheme, which aims to give young people the chance to build their confidence and skills in the workplace, as well as gain experience that will improve their chances of going on to find long-term, sustainable work.

We have opportunities available across all of our McCann Central offices, which include Birmingham, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Bristol and London, and span a wide range of disciplines such as creative, advertising, digital, media, PR, social, strategy, research, IT, business leadership, content design and project management.

Ollie Purdom, Chief Talent Officer, at McCann Central, said: “McCann Central has a team of 500 covering over 100 different job roles. As a creative agency, we’re always looking for passionate people who can offer something different and recognise the value that diverse backgrounds bring to our business.

“There’s no ideal route to getting a job in our industry. Just ask our Chief Creative Officer who started life as a chef, before getting into advertising via an internship. So, this internship could, genuinely, be the start of a truly promising career journey.

“The creative sector is an exciting one, and we have some fantastic job opportunities available, which each promise to offer a rewarding and empowering experience, so I encourage anyone who is interested in working with us to get in touch with their local job centre to apply.”

Each placement will start on 13th September and be offered for an initial term of six months, with the potential for longer-term employment.

In addition to gaining experience on the job, McCann will be offering each intern employability support as part of its partnership with Creative Access. Interns can also take advantage of free training opportunities offered by McCann’s Learning and Development team, including masterclasses, workshops and a wide selection of training modules.

If you’re interested in applying, then please contact your local job centre now.
